The 2020 vintage of Grenache is bold, sumptuous, & holds nothing back. It opens with a powerful bouquet, rich with maraschino cherry, cassis, & cola nut, accented by nutmeg, cinnamon, & oregano. The palate is just as lush as the nose, but with moderate weight. A broad entry of classic notes of dried strawberry, Bing cherry, & raspberry, underscored by earthy tones of ground clove, fresh oregano, & thyme. Taut, dusty tannins weave in and out of the concentrated fruit flavors, leading to a long, lingering finish. This is a perfect dinner wine & is drinking quite well now, but will develop for a couple years in the cellar. Drink now through 2024.
